Electrical Controls Supervisor
We currently have an opening available for an Electrical Controls Supervisor (ECS). Below is the basic job description.
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING
DESCRIPTION:The Electrical Controls Supervisor is a working supervisory position serving as the lead Controls Engineer. The ECS additionally designs, develops, and supervises all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. May be responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 4 plus years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
REPORTING:The ECS reports directly to the Engineering Manager. Electrical Controls Engineers report to the ECS.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education
Required: BS or higher degree or quivalent experience and direct controls and logic experience.
Preferred: BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. Skills
Required: MS Office, machine control design.
Preferred: MS Office, MS Project, Computer literacy, internet experience, machining techniques, fabrication techniques, web handling experience, coating, laminating, slitting, general converting experience.
3. Physical
Sitting and operating a computer for extended periods. Standing, walking and climbing to inspect customer equipment and take field measurements. The ability to manipulate and read micrometers, calipers, and other measurement instruments.
DUTIES:
- Daily progress reports to the Engineering Manager
- Provide guidance for other Electrical Controls Engineers
- Seek guidance and direction as necessary to perform duties

- Take initiative to recognize and perform needed tasks that may not be specifically assigned
