Mechanical Engineer I
We currently have at least one position available for a Mechanical Engineer I. Below is the basic job description.
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING
DESCRIPTION: Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or engineering manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
1.) Education:
Required: BS or higher degree in Engineering or 5 years of equivalent experience.
Preferred: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2.) Skills
Required: SolidWorks 2008, MS Office, MS Project
Preferred: AutoCAD, machining techniques, fabrication techniques, web handling experience, coating,
laminating, slitting, general converting experience, THE ABILITY TO SPEAK
MANDARIN IS A PLUS.
3.) Physical
Sitting and operating a computer for extended periods. Standing, walking and climbing to inspect equipment. Use of hand tools.
