Each Unwind or winder is offered in a variety of configurations, whether it’s a cantilievered design for narrow webs or a shaftless, high-speed, wide web application, we have the unwind or winder to meet your needs.
Many of our units are custom designed to better fit our customer’s needs. We can retrofit most existing equipment with an unwind or winder to improve quality and reduce waste by taking advantage of your suppliers’ larger roll producing capabilities.
Ultra-light tension applications are no problem for ConQuip. Our ultra-light tension driven unwind is regularly supplied to membrane manufacturers which handle delicate webs with the utmost care. We have been able to operate our unwinds and winders at tensions as low as 0.05 pli and 0.15 lb total tension.
Several options are offered including automatic splicing of new rolls, either butt, lap or registered. At speed roll transfers are available on winders. Many machines are configured with optional dual-purpose spindles that can wind in some conditions and unwind in others, allowing for added line flexibility.
